New Year Celebrations

 New Years is the most important holiday in Russia. It takes place between Dec 31 to Jan 1. It's celebrated between family members. On New Years eve, relatives gather in a house in which they have a big feast and open gifts around the fir tree. There are lots of Russian party decorations everywhere. In Moscow, the celebration includes a firework display in the Red Square. Huge fireworks are launched over the Neva River. After midnight, people gather in parks and squares to drink, dance and continue partying.
